Generally it is more busy earlier in the week and slower at the end of the week.
Least busy gym times. Sometimes the 8-10am and 1-3pm periods during the day can be fairly quiet. Lunchtime however is super quiet - so if youre looking to work out at a suburban gym during a weekday go around midday. Day time is also a decent time to go.
There is even less people at the gym at this time than there are at 6 am. Usually at the larger gyms this is when they have a lot of their classes and the cardio and weight lifting areas are quite open. The times immediately before the morning and evening rushes are often the least crowded times to frequent the gym.
If you get there to work out before 8 am some morning people will be there but you should be able to use the equipment of your choice. The busiest times of the day and therefore the worst times to hit the gym are mid-mornings between 8 and 11 am and early evenings 4 to 7 pm. Is least busy I would say the last couple of hours of work time as its late in the afternoon and most people wont be in the gym for the same reasons as above.
And thats because people are starting to leave the gym and go to class. Assuming you dont have a 24 hour gym I would say 1 pm is pretty empty. The least least busy time is the first opening hours of the gym mine opens on 9 am.
